K2 Learning Journeys
Nam Hwa Opera 2026
In Term 1, the children have been developing their sense of identity and self-concept, with a particular focus on the value of respect. To build on this learning, the children went to Nam Hwa Opera to explore Chinese art forms such as music, dance and costume motifs. Through these experiences, they were able to deepen their appreciation of culture and continue to learn how to show respect and care for Singaporeβs diverse and multicultural community.
Singapore Oceanarium 2025
As part of their learning under the theme βAmazing Seasβ, our K2 children embarked on an exciting field trip to the newly opened Singapore Oceanarium. The experience brought their classroom learning to life as they explored marine habitats, participated in hands-on sorting and recycling activities, and enjoyed a guided tour of the Oceanarium. The children deepened their understanding of marine biodiversity and reflected on how small actions can help protect our oceans. ππ
2025 Sheng Siong Field Trip
The K2 children recently went on a fun and meaningful field trip to a supermarket near their neighbourhood. There, they explored their neighbourhood, selected healthier snack options, and practised simple purchasing skills using money.
This hands-on experience brought classroom learning to life, and the children were curious, engaged, and eager to participate. Weβre proud of their little steps towards greater independence and look forward to more exciting learning adventures ahead!
2025 Jurong Lake Garden (MTL field trip)
In February, our children embarked on a Mother Tongue-based learning journey to Jurong Lakeside Garden.
The Tamil Language classes focused on personal safety and environmental awareness. Meanwhile, the Chinese and Malay Language classes extended their learning to include hands-on exploration and hobbies, helping children develop a deeper connection with nature through play and curiosity.
It was a fantastic day of learning, fun, and discovery in nature!πΏ
