North West School Partner Award 2019 (Bronze)
West Spring Primary received the Bronze award for the North West School Partner Award 2019. This award is given to schools which have participated actively in Community Development Councils (CDC) programmes.
West Spring Primary has been working collaboratively with North West CDC since 2015 in the WeCare@North West and Bright Spots@North West Programmes.
Through the WeCare@North West programme, WPS creates awareness and encourages correct recycling practices to the students in the school and in their homes. Students are encouraged to bring not only newspapers but also clothes and clean bottles to school for recycling.
The objective of the Bright Spot@ North West programme is to encourage more students to go green by educating them on anti-littering and taking ownership for cleanliness in the precincts near WPS. The school has adopted the precinct around the school and Pang Sua Pond in which Primary 4 students participated in the litter-picking sessions. Thank you for your support in these school programmes.
