GOAL 2020 (Go Out And Learn)
ESPRIT (Engaging the Support of Peers to Rally and Inspire Together)
ESPRIT, which stands for Engaging the Support of Peers to Rally and Inspire Together, is a peer-support initiative in WPS. There are four main responsibilities that ESPRIT leaders take on- caring for absentees, cyberwellness, writing words of encouragement and birthday celebrations.
We hope to build a strong culture of peer support in school through ESPRIT.
On 28 July, the ESPRIT leaders of each class led their peers in a birthday celebration for their classmates who are born in July.

What do WPS students do while waiting for lessons to start?
Living out important values takes discipline and practice. In WPS, students practise self-discipline and care for their teachers while waiting for the next lesson to begin. It has become a routine that students will read a book the moment they arrive at their classrooms. It is also care shown by West Springers to our teachers as teachers can be assured that students are gainfully occupied while they too are moving from one lesson to another.

The interdisciplinary programme allows students to appreciate what they learn in the various subjects and see the real-world application. At West Spring Primary School, we believe in creating both indoors and outdoors learning experiences to allow all West Springers to have a taste of the joy of learning.
Primary 1 and Primary 3 students will embark on nature-based learning journeys to Chestnut Nature Park and Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve respectively.
Primary 2 students will be involved in a sandcastle-building bonding activity at East Coast Park.
Primary 4 students will be participating in a Heritage Trail through the western region of Singapore.
Primary 5 students will embark on a S.T.E.M related and outdoor orienteering learning journey to Coney Island.

Learning for Life Programme (LLP)
West Spring Primary School has adopted Outdoor and Experiential Education as the school’s Learning for Life Programme (LLP). Titled Joyful ExperienC.E. In addition, Special Interest Group (SIG) programmes for the P4s to P6s are developed to provide more opportunities for students to pursue learning in line with their interests and to deepen their 21st Century Competencies through a combination of applied learning experiences and life-skills experiences.
