Deepavali Celebration 2023
On 15th November, our school lit up with the vibrant colors and joyous celebrations of Deepavali! πͺβ¨ The atmosphere was filled with music, dance and an awe-inspiring martial arts performance that left our staff and students absolutely wowed!
After the concert, students delved into the heart of Indian culture during our recess activity. Creativity flowed as students participated in the mesmerizing Rangoli art activity, creating intricate and colorful patterns. Our Parent Volunteers and art club students added an extra touch of elegance by drawing Henna art, allowing our students to immerse themselves in the beauty of this ancient art form.
In all, the Deepavali celebration served as a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn, understand and appreciate the rich and diverse tapestry of Indian tradition and culture.
Deepavali Celebration 2022
West Springers gathered for the Deepavali celebration on 9 November 2022. The event started off with a light-up ceremony by our School Leaders. This ceremony signifies the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. Following that, performers displayed their talents through a variety of performances. The audience also got into the celebratory mood by dancing along to Indian music beats. Thereafter, teachers and students dressed up in Indian wear and did a catwalk for the Fashion Parade segment. After an enjoyable concert, students tried their hands at Murukku Making as part of the recess activities. Parents from the Parent Support Group also added on to the experience by drawing Henna art on studentsβ hands. Through this enriching and engaging celebration, students learned more about the significance and customs of Deepavali and the Indian culture.
